When I was last stationed in Colorado Springs I did a lot with the Wounded Warrior Project office because they have an office there and did a lot there and the surrounding areas. They don't really have much going on near me that I wouldn't have to drive hours to get to so I have been thinking about the American Legion or the VFW since there are local places here but haven't really heard much besides that there is a bar at each of them which can be a plus but can be a negative as well. I have heard about DAV but haven't done anything with them since the wounded warrior project was in colorado springs. I think I will have to look into them a little bit more now that I'm out in north east Pennsylvania.
