I had a very real problem with excessive anger, which often manifested itself in the form of road rage, when other drivers failed to drive "the right way". I placed a sticky note in my car which read, "Is it worth it?", just above my radio. When I felt the rage coming on I would look down at the note, take a deep breath, and try to calm myself. It seems to help, my own dangerous driving is way down now, and I try not to let others get on my nerves when I'm driving. If you haven't been, jail is really no bueno... I try to drive with the flow of traffic, give way to others whenever possible, and to be courteous. I also have a .357 handy in case the other fellow won't take deferential courtesy for an answer; it is amazing how calming that weight is in a tense situation. That makes for less road rage incidents in my opinion. Even grandma carries a .44 in a cowboy holster. Much safer to let her drive with her blinker on. Very few people use their horn here. My parents are from Philly and when they came to visit and pop laid on the horn I just about panicked.
