Do you know Life inside the eggshell?

Those of us who have been suicidal may tend to agree or disagree with the analogy. It does not fit well with my experience or the experience with many of those I know who were successful suicides and those who survived or were talked out of the attempt(s). Mind numbness, incredible anger - either self loathing or directed to others, and heavy does of alcohol, drugs, risky behavior etc. can lead to altered states of consciousness and psychotic breaks.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs This content of this article is very true. I've said the same thing over and over. Suicide leaves the ones left behind permanently scarred and it brings them pain they will have to live with for the rest of their lives. It's much harder to be a survivor than to give up. Does this message make a difference? I don't know but if it saves one, then saying it over and over is worth the effort.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Great article and a sad truth. We all need to be more cognitive of others and reach out. Duty is not only a value but a way of life. I have had to help a SM with his counter productive thoughts and get them help. As we are streamlining our Military all need to have self-awareness of others.

Honestly, after reading, it was a great article. Thank you so much for sharing it!!! My first comment was the original reaction to the question, so teehee. But I see the bigger picture here, and I've been there. I wouldn't wish it on anyone
