I am recruiting for an entry-level office position in Trussville. Pay starts at $11/hr but is dependent upon experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new software.
The hiring manager has a preference for National Guardsmen and Reservists.

SSG, not trying to bag on you, but Top has a point. I would be more than happy to discuss it with you through messaging.

Harry,
What sort of jobs are you looking for? The one I have is very entry-level (GED, and 0-12 months experience). From a candid recruiting perspective, I'd be concerned that someone with 15 years of experience and a few credits shy of an MBA would leave this job as soon as something more challenging came along. You're certainly welcome to apply, however, I'd really want you to convince me that you'd be happy working in an entry-level role in a different career field for a couple of years. And that advice is true if you apply for any job that's outside of your current experience.
I'm not very knowledgeable about the tech recruiting circles in Birmingham, but I do recommend ITAC as a staffing agency. They focus on IT and accounting, so if anyone knows IT jobs, it's them. I've worked with Amy Shugart, one of their recruiters (

And of course, listen to the advice people give on RallyPoint and LinkedIn. There's a group on LinkedIn (veteran mentor network) that is phenomenal for transition advice. However, you can't beat the fact that you have local people here giving you advice.

Great. Please have that person either reach out to me through RallyPoint or just apply on the website and list RallyPoint as how they heard about the position.
