I can see why they would do that. But does anyone know of someone who was actually asked to leave because they won a big lottery? How does that work? How long does it take to move them out? Elected not to, was told if his performance changed, they would do the paperwork to see him out the door and it may not be an honorable. Dude retired years later from the AF. Are you using your money to buy PFT scores? Or FITNESS REPORTS? Those types of things. You could be Bezos rich and squared away and you could have a great career. He got some of it published and made a butt load of money. He was not forced but, he was offered the chance to end his contract early. Being from a long line of military veterans, he chose to stay and that was the last anything was said about it.
