Do you know the difference between your 'Home' feed and 'Trending' on RP?

*UPDATE* - I responded below, take a look.

In your navigation bar or menu (if you are on a mobile device) there is a link to "Home" and "Trending". Do you know the difference between the two and how they work?

We'll use this thread to help shed some light on what we're trying to do.

Pretty sure... Home is most recent posts/updates... Trending are the ones currently with the most action.

Home page lets me see everyone I haven't blocked; trending page gives me a chance to remind myself why I decided to block some people.

Other than that, I've got nothing.

Of course I do. My "home feed" is what my wife makes at home and "trending" would be like that hippie restaurant Qdoba.

Bunch of eyeballs here, this is helpful! Here's the scoop: Trending is a site-wide ranking of the most active discussions over a certain period of time (I think it's calculated over the bast 4 hours). This way you'll always know what's buzzing on RallyPoint even if you aren't connected to the folks involved in the discussion. However everyone sees the exact same thing when they go to trending.

Your Home feed is completely curated to you - no two members have the same exact thing appear in Home feed. It takes into consideration your military information, the groups you follow, who your contacts are, what types discussions you click into most frequently etc. As noted below, you're also able to hide content you don't like from the Home feed. The goal was to give everyone an opportunity to 'cut to the chase' and spend their time on RallyPoint engaging with things they like instead of sorting through things they are less interested in.

Try following a topic (tag) that you find yourself reading often, and see how it changes the Home feed for you. It's a pretty exciting feature, we hope it helps you get to what you want a little faster!
