According to the Mayo Clinic, regular brisk walking can help you maintain a healthy weight, prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease and high blood pressure, strengthen your bones and muscles, improve your mood, and improve your balance and coordination.<br /><br /><br />There are a number of ways to add more walking into your day. Try taking the stairs instead of the elevator, pace around while talking on the telephone, leave the office and go for a brisk walk during your lunch break, or get off of your bus/train stop a station earlier and walk the rest of the way.<br /><br />Improve your circulation, enhance your mood, lower your risk for Alzheimer’s disease and live a longer, healthier life just by walking.Response by Sgt Tom Cunnally made Apr 24 at 2016 3:37 PM2016-04-24T15:37:51-04:002016-04-24T15:37:51-04:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member1476075<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Rather than trying to find the closest parking spot in a parking lot, I will park out a ways. My car does not get dinged up as much, and I get additional walking in during the day.Response by Sgt Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 24 at 2016 5:07 PM2016-04-24T17:07:29-04:002016-04-24T17:07:29-04:00PO1 William "Chip" Nagel1476241<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I hope a lot since I walk for a Living now.Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Apr 24 at 2016 6:44 PM2016-04-24T18:44:17-04:002016-04-24T18:44:17-04:00SFC Everett Oliver1476432<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I started walking for health 2 years ago and for cardio I'm certain it helped a great deal. I've always been amused by the people who will sit in their cars and fight over the closest spot, but the lot is half empty. At least I can always find my car out in the open.Response by Cpl Justin Goolsby made Apr 26 at 2016 1:53 AM2016-04-26T01:53:15-04:002016-04-26T01:53:15-04:00SPC Michael Oles SR7131085<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes good adviceResponse by SPC Michael Oles SR made Jul 24 at 2021 8:03 PM2021-07-24T20:03:11-04:002021-07-24T20:03:11-04:002016-04-24T15:37:33-04:00
