Do you make corrections to bad advice on RallyPoint?

I regularly see bad advice or inaccurate information when viewing posts on RallyPoint. As a senior leader, do you take the time to correct or explain the bad advice? Or do you ignore it to avoid confrontation with someone who really won't listen anyway? I would love to hear thoughts on this....

If I see something that is factually inaccurate and it will likely cause some issue (especially for someone who is still serving) I will post correct information.
It bothers me immensely when I see incorrect information being given by senior NCOs or senior officers, when the correct information should either be fairly common knowledge or easy to access at that level. Sometimes it is isn't something very significant to them, and it is the sign of someone just posting what they have always 'known' versus taking the time to make sure they are correct, not certain if there is much difference between that and simple lazy leadership. It just makes me wonder how much incorrect information they pass on to their troops, and what kind of decisions they make if they don't check what they 'know' for accuracy.
I will also weigh in on topics about which I feel strongly, but have stopped trying to post correct information on here for everyone who voices opinions that are not in accordance with military values or (for those still in uniform) would be in violation of AR 600-20, Army Command Policy, or their service equivalent. I was disappointed to realize that, for a site purporting to be for professional camaraderie and mentoring, there were so many unprofessional comments and so many threads which violate every standard of professionalism we were taught, with no oversight or correction.

Exactly SGM Robin Johnson . I feel this place was turning into facebook there for a while. It still has its bad moments that I usually tag an admin to handle. Thanks for the response Robin!

Its really annoying to see bad information passed off as fact. I usually will comment if the posts are just plain wrong vs. opinion...
