The security clearance may be helpful in positions where the employer wishes to start immediately and/or save some money on the clearance process. In the end, the best personal fit for the job at hand is far more important. You never know when an opening will accure for your skills set when a security clearance is needed. You will have to have a requirement for it -- this boils down to having a job or MOS (if staying in the RC) that requires it. COL Randall C.
