Do you need an interim security clearance to appear in the AMEDD Direct Commission Selection Board?

I am in the process of applying to AMEDD Direct Commission Program. I am wondering whether in-service (Active Duty) applicants need interim clearance at the time of selection board? Or background investigation for security clearance will only be initiated upon selection?
I obtained favorable SSBI adjudication (Tier 3 clearance) when I enlisted. I didn't get clear answer on whether my SSBI adjudication will be used to give me clearance or they will initiate a new investigation altogether ? Please provide your inputs.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

I just did the process last year and commissioned in JAN of this year. It can be tedious, but well worth it! AMEDD DC is a hidden gem.

If your are currently on Active Duty, your S-2 can do a memo or complete the security verification form (I forgot the number) and your recruiter can place that in your packet. If you don’t have a secret clearance yet, then you will need to submit an SF86 and fingerprints to apply for a clearance, all officers are required a secret clearance at a minimum. But your recruiter should know all of this.

I have favourable SSBI sir. I submitted my SF86 and fingerprints to my recruiter as part of my board packet.
