I fly a 3x5 American flag, and a 3x5 U S ARMY flag.

I replace the flag on my 21ft flagpole in front of the house each May, unless it needs it sooner. I also have adopted the flag in front of the Section 8 Apartments in the village. I lower it to half staff when needed and raise it back up. On occasion a former Marine who lives there comes out and salutes it with me.

I own one that was flown over the Capitol in DC. Got the paperwork and all.

Had a COL that knew how to get it done for Retirees. Granted it's a product of an "Elevator exercise" that is pretty much done on a weekly basis with hundreds of Flags, but there it was Flying High if only for a minute. And it was flown there for me.

Yes. The one on my father's coffin. The Missouri Representative for our district had it flown over the state capitol. It is now in a display case.

My dad has my grandpa's flag from his coffin. Otherwise I don't think I nor anyone in my family does. Oh I got a flag flown in Iraq for myself and my dad and then the BN commander and CSM would sign a certificate to go with it. I just found them at my dad's house last year. I completely forgot about those.

I own a number of them. I have two that I fly, one nylon for days the weather might not be nice, and one cotton for the good days. I have my father's VA funeral flag, a flag from the US Capitol I got from my Soldiers on my retirement, a flag that flew over NSA HQ on my NSA retirement, and I just received a flag from my Army Security Agency days that existed from 1945-1976 (I was only in it from 72-76).

I contacted my congressional representative a few months ago to have a flag that would be flown over the Capital on the last day of my last Reserve BA weekend. It was, and I received it about two weeks afterward.

Having been flown over the Capital, I'm confident it's "regulation" in any sense of the word.

Actually three plus an extra as a replacement if any of the others become damaged or torn while in normal, regulation use, such as torn by severe wind. I don't launder my flags, I give them to the Boy Scouts to be properly destroyed.
