So do you participate in these extracurricular running events? Or is PT enough and you're done? Share your locations and events and maybe other SMs will see them and register to run with you!

Past events I participated in
Pensacola Beach, FL - 15K Double Bridge Run, awesome event
Pensacola, FL - St Valentine 5k for local charities
Huntsville, AL - Wounded Warrior Project 5K, raised money for WWP
Manchester, TN - Warrior Dash 2012, raised money for St Jude
SoCal - Mavericks Mud Run 5K
SoCal - Merrill Down and Dirty 10K (twice)

My next event is the Rock n Roll Los Angeles Halloween Half Marathon on 26 October. I printed out a 12-week half marathon training guide and started this week. If you have any tips for half marathon training definitely let me know! Please take the time and share the events you know of, most of these raise money for a good cause! Now retired, i am better run shape than ever in the Army. I completed my first full "Marine Corp Marathon" this last year and currently signed up for 3 Half marathons, Army 10 Miler hopefully and Marine Corp Marathon again.
