So just curious and why you prefer a specific place to workout, I prefer old school gyms or Gold's gyms that focus primarily on bodybuilding/power lifting. Unfortunately many business are now more fitness center like for more business, I found it extremely hard to workout in those because I enjoy a humid hot gym, with grunts, chalk, throwing up and determined experienced lifters.

old school gym with barbells, kettle bells, medicine balls and room to move around. I don't need people dressing up to go to the gym and I don't even care if the joint is clean.

I like the way your think sir, I don't mind females in the gym if they are serious and are showing it but the majority are very distracting especially when your hitting the weights hard and trying to stay focused...lol

15 years ago when I was a bodybuilder/powerlifter I would have said old school gym, but now I prefer fitness center as my fitness goals and focus have changed. Nowadays I seriously can't stand the grunting and find it humorous that Planet Fitness has a bell patrons can ring when someone in the weight room is grunting

I've actually have tried to set off that alarm by purposely dropping weights but it never works, only because I was visiting a friend in Phillly and that was their gym of choice, I think it's a deter that they preach but rarely happens or maybe it was just a mechanical issue....lol

Nothing beats old school free weights. But since I had a shoulder replacement surgery I am going to have to settle for a fitness center. :-(
