Do you respond to links, questions, and updates based on reading the article/content or to the headline?

I generally read the poster's comments and the article before responding.

If I can relate and add something substantial then I will respond. If not, I read it and then move on.

That is an interesting question. However, the answer is not as simple as the question implies.
No one will ever reply without reading the content first or at least they shouldn't. Of course they will never read the content without the title catching their attention and interest.
Only then can they even consider the idea of replying.

Kind of all of them. I often times don't read through the whole article so more frequently I comment off the title as well as other people's responses because usually by reading others comments one can gauge what the article's content was.
