Do you see a double standard in how this administration is treated on the Corona Virus response compared to last year?

Canada banned flights from India and Pakistan last week. The USA is doing the same thing now. In this instance, the USA took longer to stop flights from India and Pakistan. Canada did it on April 22nd. The USA announced it yesterday April 30th. If Trump were to stilll be in Office, he would be blamed for waiting a week compared to his peers like Canada.

The USA banned many flights from China on the 31st of January,2020 and Canada stopped on the 1st of Feb 2020. Trump was called a Racist. Nancy Pelsoi and Chinese Democrats were livid through the USA. The USA banned international flights on the 12th of March, 2020. Canada closed its air corridors on the 20th of March, 2020.

The Biden Administration took an extra week, why? I do not see the media saying much about this. I live in Canada and my Pakistani and Indian Employees are livid they cannot travel to see their families back home.

Since I could only choose one answer I picked Double Standard for the mainstream media my friend LTC Private RallyPoint Member.
When I create survey questions I try to add other which can be a combination or none of the above.
My second choice would be Different Governments do not make decisions at the same time.

Maybe this administration is getting the benefit of the doubt from the media because it is taking the pandemic threat seriously (and the previous one wasn't). This administration isn't calling it a hoax, or saying it will be gone within weeks, or refusing to wear masks, or downplaying its lethality, etc.

Nothing Trump accomplished got him any positive credit in the press. They hate him so they either lie about him, falsify information or ignore what he does depending on what works for them.

If you folks think Trump did a competent job preparing for the pandemic. You know nothing about national disaster planning. Stopping some air travel is not robust planning. 99% of you have no clue about the process.

If you want to hear about competent leadership. The government of Taiwan planned in February and executed a plan to test everyone coming into the country. They quarantined and conducted contact tracing. They all wore masks. Off the top of my head we have 20 to 40 times their death rate.

I will give you another government that was infinitely smarter than ours. In February S Korea planned and executed deploying many testing sites around the country. They quarantined and conducted contact tracing. They all wore masks.

We stopped some air travel. We had faulty tests. We had no contact tracing. We had a president who was attacking his scientists and lied repeatedly about the threat of COVID. His administration started thinking of ordering PPEs in late March while the doctors and nurses ran out of PPEs and had to wash them. FEMA was told to start planning a federal government response on 13MAR20. What is the implication of not having a plan early? The federal government could not execute without a plan and the states had no idea how they fit in the grand scheme of things. If you think this is rational and robust Pandemic planning then you folks are smoking some good crack. I could have done as well as Trump if I was a unicorn making pink farts for the public.

Now for you Trump followers why did Trump fuck up the pandemic response like he did? I firmly believe that he lacked the requisite mental acuity and was pyschologically unfit to make rational decisions. He was essentially that Alpha Male chimp who wanted to attack the other group of chimps to amass power. He attacked and beat his chest and his followers loved that. The pathetic thing is he did not know how to use that power to protect the country. He had no qualities to be a good president, but what is immensely interesting is how you Trump supporters kiss his ample ass and say it smells like roses.

The standard GOP mantra he stopped air travel and the Democrats were exonphobic is a tiresome vacuous line that essentially means he did nothing to prepare our country for the pandemic. The fact of the matter is Trump's strategy was to lie about the pandemic. How infinitely stupid was that? That pathetic mantra some of you spew tells me you have not researched National Disaster Preparedness and don't understand the process.

This is the latest from the Canadian press. The Canadian government has been flat footed its whole time in its roll out trying to get vaccines to the people. Many here on rally point give fault to president trump when we started having a when million vaccination a day roll out starting in December. Look out Canada is doing 6 months later.
