Do you still use the CD player in your car? Would not having one be a deal breaker when buying a car? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-you-still-use-the-cd-player-in-your-car-would-not-having-one-be-a-deal-breaker-when-buying-a-car <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The CD player in my car has been slowly dying for a while now. It’s going to be cheaper to replace the unit than get it fixed. I generally stream music or listen to the radio so I never even use the thing. We just replaced my wife’s car and we’re hoping to get 2-3 more years out of mine so I’m thinking of replacing the whole unit with something that is better for streaming (Pandora, Spotify, etc). I’ve read that some cars companies are slowly phasing CD players out of cars. Would you buy a car without a CD player or has it become a “dead technology”? I listen to Sirius/XM or blue tooth music from my phone. I can plug a USB geek stick in as well. TSgt David L. It&#39;s so much easier to stream or plug in a phone into the car&#39;s USB now. I bought a new car in 2017 and I was shocked it even had a CD player. As you could have guessed, it&#39;s never been used. SSG Carlos Madden Mon, 24 Jun 2019 10:17:49 -0400 2019-06-24T10:17:49-04:00 2019-06-23T13:01:40-04:00
