Do you take practice time with your bow seriously or do you only shoot every once in awhile?

I shoot daily. pre-season, during season, and post season. It is a 'stress' relief activity for me.

Same for me Sir. I actually have lights set up and a range of 30 yards at my house. With a head lamp, I shoot at A.M. hours if I can't sleep Sir.

I've done similar when I lived near Bragg. I could just range out to 40yrds if I placed the target up against our fence and my rear foot was touching the opposite fence. Here in KS we have a nice range on post as well as a well back-stopped hill behind the bldg I work in. I've tossed the target out there and while I can range out to 100... I'm not doing that... yet.

LTC Matthew Tieszen - Sir, 60 yards is the furtherest I have ever practiced and that was back in my late 20's. Now just 2 months from being 54 I do good to see past 30 yards. With the new fiber optic pin sights, anything past 30 makes them seem to blend and double up on me. I might try 100 yards with a recurve with no sights Sir.

I do believe you are ready too. I snuck off today and caught four Bass. Having fresh fish for supper tonight. Here's the biggest one. I only got to fish for about 2 1/2 hours.

SSgt Terry P. - I was fishing on John's Mountain at a place called Pilchers Pond. you have to hike 1 1/4 miles to get to it. The pond had dried to about 1/3 of it's normal size. Poor fish must be starving, I found three artificial worms and one plastic lizard in the gut of the big one. the smaller ones didn't have anything. I hadn't been there in three years. Place has changed a lot, but I still had a great time. I was going to go bow/deer hunting tomorrow but my daughter called and wants to come shoot some so guess I'll shoot at targets tomorrow.
