There are plenty of times during the test where one would benefit from having quick access to energy sources. In my opinion, eat something that is easy to metabolize before the test 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 02 Nov 2020 09:42:41 -0500 2020-11-02T09:42:41-05:00 Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 2 at 2020 9:43 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-you-take-the-acft-fasted?n=6461404&urlhash=6461404 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The regulation doesn&#39;t require it does it? I presume all those that &quot;fast&quot; are trying to beat tape/weight. <br /><br />Not a nutrition or fitness expert, but I prefer to eat a little something to keep energy levels up. I do my best when not overly hungry but certainly not stuffed with bacon and eggs. There&#39;s too much that requires good stores of readily available energy. You would end up under performing on the Deadlift and sprint drag carry for sure. There&#39;s no external load on the APFT so it&#39;s not really comparable in energy expense SFC Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 02 Nov 2020 12:08:58 -0500 2020-11-02T12:08:58-05:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 3 at 2020 6:11 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/do-you-take-the-acft-fasted?n=6466189&urlhash=6466189 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The ABCP reg states that height weight can be conducted within 7 days of the APFT (now ACFT) and specifically says to avoid Soldiers going to extremes to lose weight and it hindering their performance. So it can be done 7 days prior or 7 days after. SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 03 Nov 2020 18:11:02 -0500 2020-11-03T18:11:02-05:00 2020-11-02T07:43:37-05:00
