Three co-equal branches of government, as I recall. What she said would be inconsistent with the three branches noted in the Constitution. Better go back to SNL for a Civics primer. All the Executive branch can do is obfuscate and shred or delete files with impunity to hide their transgressions.

No. The best she could've done was come clean in the beginning, let the investigation run it's course, and since it was republican led, when the results came out, sit back and point at them as validation. She didn't and look at her now. The results did come out in her favor, but the BS she caused brought a lot of other crap to take hold.

Since this and other committee investigations were in large part politically instigated and motivated, it is likely that HC would have not interfered with a similar witch-hunt if conducted against Republicans by Democrats in a Democratic controlled House.
