Am I technically qualified?

From your brief history shown;
I would say Yes for tactically qualified: Successful OEF deployment, Battlefield Promotion (Congratulations on that!)

For the technical, it appears so, a Yes there also: Outstanding NCOERs.

You already stated important things; Other Warrants have already given you the nod, and you stated you already meet the requirements for selection. Getting the nod won't get you anywhere in the process, but I note that having this vote-of-confidence from them tells me you have what it takes, and they recognize it.

The training you will receive in school will add to your expertise.

I believe you should put your packet in.
----------------------------
Other thoughts: besides being tactically and technically qualified, you will be looked upon to do many other things by your Soldiers and Command.
I offer just one here: find out about the logistics in your field. Yes, you can fight. Yes, you can fix it.

Where are the parts?
You may have already seen the ups & downs of the repair cycle/process. A few hints I would tell you to do now; track a few repair parts from the beginning of the order process to receipt. Go to your Tech Supply Warrant and have them show you what they look at. Get and read the references on Maintenance Management and Supply. Your Technical Chief can assist you on the Maintenance piece and hopefully on some Supply. The remainder of Supply, go to the Supply Warrant.

Best Wishes,
Matt Response by CW3 Matt K. made May 27 at 2017 2:24 PM 2017-05-27T14:24:36-04:00 2017-05-27T14:24:36-04:00 CW3 Matt K. 2603618

Follow up:
College/Continuing Education:
When I applied, I did not have a college degree. I did show/documented that I was continuing my education. I was enrolled in college, taking classes.

I was able to do this on base where I was stationed. You may be able to do that, or attend the local college.

I documented my credit hours, and on-going classes at the time I submitted my packet. One of the things the Board looks at is continuing education.

Recommendation(s): If you are not already in a college class, enroll. Get it documented on your Packet that you are continuing your education.

Even if there are no current classes due to vacation or, or you missed the open window, etc., enroll for the next class. You know yourself better than anyone so don’t let someone else’s opinion drive your desire to be a WO. Your endorsements hold a lot of weight, which you’ll most likely…10/10 times, be writing the LORs yourself and your senior warrant/BC will make the edits they deem needed. I say go for it, make your LORs as strong as possible in order to sell yourself. The packet is very self explainable. The LORs and interviews will be where you need to focus most of your effort.
