Canadian judge frees former teen terrorist who killed US Army medic

A former teen terrorist who killed a U.S. army medic in Afghanistan in 2002 could go free Thursday, if a Canadian judge rules the former Guantanamo Bay detainee once sentenced to 40 years in prison has changed his jihadist ways.

Well, if he said he was sorry, then I guess it is alright. Wrong! I don't see how the Canadian government can interject itself into the American justice system in this manner, IMHO this is an intrusion into our national sovereignty. Again this is just my opinion SSG Richard Reilly.

Just caught this on the evening news. Apparently the perp has to wear an ankle bracelet and live with his lawyer. I'd think living with a lawyer would be more severe punishment than going to jail (sorry, to my JAG friends). Canadian law prevails. Unfortunately, we'll likely see this kid again in a headline.

I don't have a Law Degree, I am not a Lawyer or Judge, I have not read the Canadian Constitution and Laws Involved but I suspect it is the Right, Legal, Call. I may not like it but that is just the way some things are.

I hope the strategy here is to turn them lose so they will go "downrange" so we can kill them. (Ur not sposta kill prisoners.) You know those 5 guys we traded for the deserter?, aren't some of them dead? It's the opposite of catch-n-release.

This is just another example of how our own government fails us. This idiot's life was worth more than a Medic's. Speer could have saved more lives and effected more change, if he would have lived, than this clown ever could. Eric Holder's Justice Department is more concerned about providing firearms to the Cartels in Mexico, not caring about one of his Border Patrolmen's murder (because of it), hiding illegal activity, and assisting in Racial Turmoil.

This dude should have never been able to see the light of day.
