I am lucky to be surrounded by a strong NCO community of AIT Cadre here in TRADOC. I can't imagine not having this support system. My previous unit would do an induction annually for all newly promoted NCOs. Personally, I believe the military should bring the NCO club or have a monthly social gathering of all NCOs at the post level, so we can share knowledge, experiences and network. I believe we have lost a lot of our tradition.. but there are some units that are trying to reinstate some of our lost Traditions. My last unit with the Engineers 864th here in Lewis / Mcchord have stated Doing proper NCO Induction Ceremonies .
