Does it paint an accurate picture...maybe, maybe not. I understand why CSMs review them but in my experience they all hone in on different things to the point where NCOERs are done in a certain fashion just to suit the CSM. What the product is may still reflect who the soldier is but not always. <br />My biggest wish for NCOERs would be to somehow incorporate subordinate input in to leaders NCOERs. When I worked for Walmart and the assistant manger the over saw my department had an Eval due...all departments under them took a survey about them and that weighed into their evaluation. Raters see a lot but don't always see everything on a day to day basis. As leaders we are only as good as our teams and they can make us or break us. I think their opinions if us doing our jobs should factor in on the evaluation and we already have a tool that would allow this to happen...360 online tool.
