Do you think with the new uniforms for summer of 2015 that are to come out will we have to pay out of pocket or will it be issued???

The Army is saying that there are 3 new battle uniforms and new PT uniform to come out in your opinion do you think it will be issued or would we have to pay out of pocket.... Scorpion W2 (multicam), Marines Desert Digital, and Marine Woodland Digital and of a whole new set of PT uniforms

There is one new ACU coming out for general use. That is the Operational camouflage pattern (OCP) AKA Scorpion W2. There will be a "jungle" and "desert" pattern to be developed later, but not issued unless you are deploying to that environment. Yes, another PFU is coming out as well apparently.
I don't remember what happened back in 2005, but IIRC, IET soldiers would be issued them. Any soldier currently on AD would be required to buy them with their uniform allowance (enlisted only), but would not be required to have the full required issue until the wear-out date....which is usually a 3-4 year period allowing soldiers to gradually acquire their uniforms. IIRC, they also did a one time increase in the uniform allowance to accommodate this.

it was a general concern how people will be expected to buy 3 different types of uniforms and of course you need atleast 2 pairs of each uniform and then pt's on top of that when a normal allowance is ~ 300 dollars on single unform top and bottom is about 90 dollars

LTC Labrador is 100% on point in regard to how we implemented the MARPAT uniforms back in 2003. I can't speak for how the Army will do it but I would be willing to bet if it isn't "exactly" the same, it will be pretty close.
