Do you tip your Household Goods(HHG) Packers and Movers?

I just had my HHG packed today. We always provide drinks and buy lunch for the people packing and moving our goods. What do you do if anything? Do you tip, buy food, or do you do anything at all?

No, but I do by them lunch...pizza, McDonald's, Subway, whatever they request.

The one time I had HHG move my stuff, I offered the guys the beer in my fridge and made them sandwiches to get rid of the bread. I probably should have waited to give them the beer AFTER they packed my stuff though. Some things didn't fair too well...

No, but I usually get them something to drink when they are moving and packing/unpacking.

Also, if I'm getting rid of stuff (ie food or furniture I don't want anymore) sometimes I'll offer it to them. Got rid of a lot of stuff that way.... ;o)

I've never tipped, but always provided sandwiches and drinks and it was always appreciated (or it seemed to be anyway!)

When we have PCSd, I've typically given the packers / movers with sodas, water, sandwiches or pizzas to ensure they take a little extra care while doing the job. I think we may have given the guys in Germany a beer... after they finished the job, haha.

As the movers just delivered my HHG on Monday, I provided them a Hawaiian Feast and some Aloha drinks. They weren't expecting it and had to make a couple of guys eat because the weren't use to getting food and drinks for moving. I'm thinking the locals here in Hawaii don't do that kind of stuff for the movers and packers.

I do not since I usually find items damaged when they come off the truck. The last movers told me If you have a box of bolts and screws that some will intently throw them away. They do this so that the other movers won't have to put your bed frames, chairs, etc together. It was "easier for the owner to be reimbursed than to have the movers take up time to do it themselves" Fortunately, I did this and kept the box of bolts with me this time.
