But, now in my twilight years, I donate my time and energy to helping veterans. I was drawn to the cause when I heard of the poor treatment they were receiving at the hands of government agencies. Maybe more than I should. Nonetheless, I have two main areas in which I volunteer. I give my time to my church in the form of Men's Ministry. Otherwise, I put in a lot of time with veterans. My main veteran activities involve Stand Down events. Here in my are, Roseville, CA I am on the county line and am blessed with the opportunity to volunteer in two counties. I have spent time with VFW projects. Anytime an event comes along that is veteran related, such as Vietnam Veteran Day or the Moving Wall, I am sure to get right in there.
