Do you wear a PC with a combat top on?

After getting back or before leaving to the field if you're wearing a combat top then when you're outside are you still supposed to wear your PC or are you not supposed to?

It’s a matter of SOP most of the time. 1st Cav, grateful the soldier was wearing headgear. Big Red One, softcap before SP was OK and after RTB. Old Ironsides, would give a field grade Article 15 for this violation of good order and discipline that would cause the complete destruction of the US Constitution and total victory for the Communist way of life(but ignoring Red Cross EAMs was perfectly ok). 10th Mountain, as long as everyone has the same headgear on.

On a Recon Patrol, An Observation Post, Security Patrol, Listening Post and any thing else you would do that requires individually-enhanced situational awareness.
