Does a 4 day pass have to incorporate the weekend or could it be taken Tuesday-Friday?

Not always.
So If you are a needed body CQ, work detail ect during a 4 day, the commander can give you a 4 day during a different time period. It would always happen to us when I worked at SOI East and at Fort Bliss. Since there was never any down time we would split 4 day's so it gave everyone opportunity off. So some would get the regular 4-day and the others would take the next 4-day off. But normally yes a regular 4-day weekend is incorporated with the weekend.

SFC(P) (Join to see) The regulation states a 4 day pass can ONLY be granted if it incorporates 2 weekend days. You can be granted a 3 day pass without that requirement. Now having Comp time, hey that's on the unit, but its not by regulation considered a 4 day pass.

SFC (Join to see) - Yes why I ended my sentence with yes regular 4-day includes the weekend. But when you work in a high tempo work everyday unit like I have multiple times where there is never a day off a commander can defiantly make exceptions to policy.

The regulation is very clear. A 4-day pass is a “special pass” and must include the weekend: Thu-Sun, Fri-Mon, or Sat-Tue.
