I just came down on orders for Fort Polk with a report date in 3 months. Does that mean the unit Im going to is deploying soon?

Quick orders do not always mean deployment. The needs of the Army will always come first. I would wait to see when your orders come down if it is an accompanied tour you should not be deployed right away. Also, I do believe that FT. Polk is a training base and usually, that means non-deployed units. Good luck to you.

Actually, JRTC and Fort Polk does deploy - quite often - as it is home to 3rd BCT 10th MTN as well as other FORSCOM units. JRTC Operations Group is the training center, everything else deploys from here.
