Does a soldier have a choice of their duty station on a second re-enlistment?

Soldiers in a balanced or under strength MOS who are not Careerists - 10 or more years from BASD to ETS - are authorized to request a duty station of choice if they are not already on assignment.

It just depends on the re-enlistment option you get. I would recommend waiting for the option and availability at the duty station you are seeking to move to.

Good question to ask Retention. Normally most everything goes away after 1st re-enlistment.

I was retention for my company up until last week (pcs).... going for your 2nd contract as a SGT sm tells me what he wants and I forward it to the career counselor... gets sent up to HRC, but the slots that show up are “available” to everybody in your rank and in your mos at that time, so by the time that the request gets sent up, there is a possibility that the slot has already been taken... SSG is pretty talk to your branch and see what’s available pretty much

Somewhat. Retention will have choices depending on what the army needs rank and MOS wise. He might have better luck calling Branch.

Branch or retention are best bet to find out. Once you pin E-6 choices of duty stations begin to slim.

First reenlistment - I reenlisted for a bonus and I was going to be stop lossed anyway. Second reenlistment - For Meade. Third reenlistment - to Riley (from Nebraska). Fourth and last reenlistment - no choices I was at indef (or whatever it's called now) so I couldn't choose. My second reenlisment I was a SGT (P).
