I've taken ammo handler courses back in Fort Carson, Colorado in January. The course required me to take Ammo-46 Intro to Ammo, Ammo-67 Hazmat Familiarization, Ammo-68 Ammunition Rule.

I have a M4 range coming up on Sunday and I am the only certified person in my company (we had 2 but 1 recently left to different company). I was told by my PL to figure out about drawing ammo and bring them to a range on Saturday but I do not know the whole SOP and procedures.

I was told by an NCO from different Co. that we need 2 certified people when it comes to drawing and transporting them. So I am questioning myself if I am qualified in both drawing + transporting or just drawing them.

Can someone please tell me the limit of what I can do with the current cert? Thank you. Does Ammunition Certification Course Allows you to draw an ammo and transport? or just drawing an ammo? 2019-07-25T04:01:48-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 4845659

Hello all. I remember you had to be an NCO in the rank of SGT to go to the course because you had to an NCO to draw Ammo unless, you were MOS trained to handle Ammo. My buddy who was a CPL was not allowed to attend the course. You should find an NCO who has an ordinance MOS and find out from them or read the applicable regulations and SOPs. I have not handled Ammo since '13 and I do not know what changes have been made. However, regulation says you have to be an NCO to draw ammo, so you are probably good to transport ammo, but not draw from the ASP.
