The only one I know of is pregnancy and then you only have so much time to be back within regs post partum.

How far out of regs were you? Can you show your commander that you were making consistent progress? If so then perhaps they could stop a chapter. Not sure if possible or not but I would exercise your command’s open door policy.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 5 at 2019 7:34 PM2019-08-05T19:34:48-04:002019-08-05T19:34:48-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member4887315

AR 600-9 and AR 135-178 are not policies, hence no exception to policy.
AR is Army Regulation.
The waiver authority for a regulation is usually the HQDA G1.
A waiver may be granted if there is a documented medical condition preventing your compliance with 600-9.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 6 at 2019 9:44 AM2019-08-06T09:44:11-04:002019-08-06T09:44:11-04:002019-08-05T19:17:06-04:00
