You can look it up under the reg, but basically only THE Army G1 can grant an exception to height and weight requirementsSFC Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 05 Aug 2019 19:26:56 -04002019-08-05T19:26:56-04:00Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 5 at 2019 7:34 PM

No exceptions that I am aware of. The only one I know of is pregnancy and then you only have so much time to be back within regs post partum.

How far out of regs were you? Can you show your commander that you were making consistent progress? If so then perhaps they could stop a chapter. Not sure if possible or not but I would exercise your command’s open door policy.MAJ Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 05 Aug 2019 19:34:48 -04002019-08-05T19:34:48-04:00Response by SGM Jeff Mccloud made Aug 6 at 2019 9:44 AM

AR 600-9 and AR 135-178 are not policies, hence no exception to policy.
AR is Army Regulation.
The waiver authority for a regulation is usually the HQDA G1.
A waiver may be granted if there is a documented medical condition preventing your compliance with 600-9.SGM Jeff MccloudTue, 06 Aug 2019 09:44:11 -04002019-08-06T09:44:11-04:002019-08-05T19:17:06-04:00
