I've been told that there is no minimum TIS requirement and I've been told that there is, however it is waiverable.
I'm just trying to see if anybody has a definite answer for me from their experience.

I will tell you that the Army is hurting for recruiters right right now. Get on the "recruit the recruiter" website, find the poc on the site and call and ask them. They are the ones who approve and disapprove packets. They will tell you if it's worth it to drop a packet or not. They are short, so you never know. I talked to a SFC Snow when I dropped my packet. He was extremely helpful

Looks like the waiver has to be signed by the USAREC CG. So it looks like technically there is a wavier BUT good luck getting that one signed.

At time of selection have no less than 4 years of time in service and no more than 9 years of
time in service if a SGT, no more than 15 years of time in service if a SSG, or no more than 16
years of time in service if a SFC (waiver by CG, USAREC authorized).

AR 614-200 is usually a good place to start when looking for enlisted assignment info.

Pg. 90 begins recruiting duty requirements.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
