Even though I am retired, I still wear the ASU for certain events and when those do come up, I get out the same can of Brasso that I used my entire career. I never did polish any Oak Leaf clusters because they were such a pain to get off and on without damaging the ribbons and then when I went with thin-mount ribbons, that was not an option anymore. Polishing brass is a skill that is going away but it is something I will do as long as I can wear the ASU.
