This month we will focus on how to find housing back home in United States. This will allow you to be aware of all of the great resources that are available: On-Post Housing Since most of Army Housing in the States is privatized, many accept online applications prior to you in-processing to your next installation. To apply for on-post housing you must provide a copy of your orders, a completed housing application, DEERS Enrollment Form (DD1172), DA Form 31 and a copy of your military ID card. Once you have submitted all the required documentation you will be added to the waitlist. Please keep in mind the day that you submitted your application does not correspond eligibility date to receive housing. Your eligibility date will be the day that you have in-processed through the housing office. For those who have been on a Dependent Restricted Tour (i.e. Korea), you may be eligible for priority placement on the housing waitlist. To qualify you must provide a copy of your orders to the Dependent Restricted Tour location along with all the other information mentioned previously. To learn more about on-post housing. Take my advice though, live off post. Balfour Beatty is probavly the worst real estate company out there. Theyd do anything to make a buck on soldiers than actually help them. And god forbid you need a work order, that takes forever. Unless youre an e7+ or an officer living in the modern up to date houses youll be livig in an 80s moldy appartment.
