If so, then sometimes I do, and it depends on the uniform. There's a related RallyPoint thread on this topic. Here it is. I guess it, too, was a controversial topic:

https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-the-army-uniform-only-show-name-and-us-army-getting-rid-of-patches-and-badges

Should the Army uniform only show name and US Army? They all look the same and they all don't seem to have the judgements we have in the army. I mean we in the army have the unit patches, skill badges and deployment patch. I believe that the army should be the same as the other services.

Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 21 at 2015 7:55 AM 2015-01-21T07:55:20-05:00 2015-01-21T07:55:20-05:00 PO1 Barbara Matthews 3259009

Naw, it is what makes the Army unique and stand out. It instills pride in service.

This coming from a Navy vet. The Navy also has distinctive uniforms. So do other branches. Example: the Khaki shirt, pants, tie, with dark brown coat. So what if the Marines wear that. Its not the one they're known for. It would give back tradition and honor. Then leave the damn uniform alone and stop changing it.
