It&#39;s definitely possible that a maintenance company might schedule a MUTA 6 or 8 for a month when they know vehicles are going to need extra work. Non-maintenance units do MUTA 6s and 8s too though. That&#39;s with MP and Aviation units. The one exception to that was MEDEVAC when we had two. One for IWQ and one for SRP. Traditionally it&#39;s a MUTA 4 weekend but sometimes you get a MUTA 6 or 8. I&#39;m with an HHC that does MUTA 6 while the units below us do MUTA 4 because the HHC and BN Staff need an extra day to set up advon and other duties for the battalion. That said because of the regular MUTA 6 &amp; 8 they have months where we don&#39;t drill because we can&#39;t go over our MUTA&#39;s for the year.<br /><br />You may also find regular opportunities for orders in Full Time National Guard Duty, Additional Annual Training, or Technician positions depending on your MOS and unit. These are optional though, so it&#39;s up to you if you want to participate in them.
