Here goes:

1. zero day-you get smoked and they look for drop outs from the obstacle course
day 2-8- schooling with runs and rucks here and there

last day is the rappel and the 12-mile ruck that totally sucks if you forget something on the packing list you're done.

goodluck Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 10 at 2017 7:59 PM 2017-08-10T19:59:28-04:00 2017-08-10T19:59:28-04:00 CW4 Angel C. 2820326

It wouldn't be fun if you had a day by day schedule. Here's a quick run down:
Day Zero, obstacle course & pit PT smoke out then pass the 2mi run in ACUs
Day 1 (better have everything on the packing list)
2-3 days pathfinder phase
2-3 days sling load phase
2-3 days rappelling phase
Day 10, 12mi ruck march
Tough PT everyday to include rifle and log PT and 4,6,8mi (don't remember if 10 miler) work up rucks. It's a tough but fun school. Hawaii was a killer with the steep hills. Good luck! Also three biggest areas people fail the school.

1. Packing list, means the item has to be in your ruck in pristine condition (no mud, dirt or chipped paint). If they empty your ruck onto the drill pad and a mushroom cloud of dust erupts skywards......it means you failed at this task......do not make an attempt at verbal explanation.

2. PT Test - self explanatory but they are strict on form. They run a lot in the school for PT and you might not be used to it if your in a support unit.

3. Obstacle Course - you have to pass the MANDATORY Obstacles on the Obstacle course so listen for what they are.

4. Phase II Slingloading - you have to study to pass phase II, most people presume this is like a basic course and they will be tolerant and offer unlimited chances.........SURPRISE! They don't tolerate someone that doesn't care to study. From what I remember its:

Day Zero: Get smoked (the more people they have in the class, the more you get smoked to meet the attrition rate) and then run the obstacle course. Maybe a layout afterwards too. (can't remember off hand) Somewhere in the first couple of days you will do a 6 mile ruck march. Next couple days you'll learn about the different helos, their configurations and the hand and arm signals for guiding them. Followed by a few days of slingloads and rappelling. On your final day you will do the 12 mile ruck march in the morning followed by graduation late morning or early afternoon. You'll be getting smoked a lot and doing layouts here and there. Hope this helps. Good luck! Day 1-9 layouts, smoke sessions and learning. Day 10:12-mile ruck march. The other things can change slightly. You'll do a 6- mile ruck march on day 1 or 2. Listen, learn, and do what sgt-air-assault says, and you'll be fine. Two guys from my unit attended the course at Fort Bliss back in May. After discussing the course details with them, I realized a lot has changed since I attended many years ago. Also, different school locations will have different instructors, terrain, and weather which will impact your experience.

However, some things have never changed in the course. There is a lot of PT, follow the packing list to the letter, and study, study, and study for the sling loading portion of the course.

Good luck. I just graduated a couple weeks ago here at Campbell. They will give you a full schedule on day 0, to prepare, just run as much as possible, and don't drop out on your rucks. 3 hour 12 mile ruck, very do-able. Seriously the time they give you is plenty of time to go slow and steady. Also take all the time that give you to go over slingloads and do just that review them till you know them like the back of your hand and it will be easy to spot the deficiencies. Otherwise just do as you instructor says and you will be good.
