Does anyone have a sample memorandum for justification to go back to IRR?

So im trying to go back into IRR, because reserves is not for me and is too far of a drive and for employment reasons. I just need a sample of a paragraph so my justification sounds professional and helps my chances of switching as soon as possible

I was able to tranfer back to IRR,it took a good while, about 5 or 6 months. Big army initially did not accept the disability or the distance justification, but did accept the employment justification. Thanks to everyone who helped.

If you have met your initial military obligation, then you don't need a justification to go back to the IRR. Nor can your commander block your request. Personally, I think the paragraph you wrote here is all the justification you need. Put that on the 4187 requesting transfer to the IRR.

Employment reasons are tough to justify for IRR transfer. Employers are obligated by Federal Law to give you the time you need to perform duties for the military. Your employer would have to provide a memo stating why they cannot accommodate you and most will not do that. As far as commuting distance if you are over 50 miles away from your unit then you can submit a request for outside a reasonable commuting distance IAW AR 140-10 para 1-10.
