Oh to answer the question, my planning an operation skills have have helped a lot, problem-solving, critical thinking, strategic planning, leadership skills, resilience, ability to connect with many types of people (cultural, spiritual, economic, race and gender) Staying positive and staying focused on the mission at hand despite set backs. We learn a lot being in the military it's learning how to translate those soft and hard skills in the civilian sector and making it work for you.

Yes after retiring I found it difficult to find a good paying job so I decided to stop trying to fit in other people's boxes and start to define my own space. It is a process I went in circles for about 4 months. During that time I went to every free class for veterans about starting a business. Today I'm proud to say my company's name is "Girl Friday Services, L.L.C., my motto: "Connect ingredients people with resources to make a difference in your LIFE and our WORLD". I new I was on the earth to serve and help but took sometime to translate that outside of the military but I have. I love being an entrepreneur and you will to if it's truly what you want to do. I have a few articles that I think are useful. Always willing to share just send me a message.

Sir,
Without the adversity I experienced on active duty, I would have folded and cried for my mommie with my attempt at business.
Once, I was issued weapons, ammo, MRE, 203 grenade launcher... Now, I issued myself an ultrasound machine, business cards, website and office. Plus, I am in an elevated position.
I know the enemy and I know myself.
2ed place is first loser.
Kind Regards,
Mark A. Morris BS, RDMS, RVT
