Does anyone have advice on how to request additional funding for training/schools (e.g. EFMB, Air Assault, GAFPB) in a Medical Support Unit?

This is basic but I'm hoping someone can build on it:
Is there anything within the MTOE or sister units' to justify the need?
Is there any way to trade some logistic trades for support from other units with the resources?

You will have to show the value of the training to the unit, in a budget request.

Are budget requests written in a memo? Are there any examples/templates available?

Its more like a theme paper- you are having to sell the idea to your budget manger (S3,G3), asking for funds or additional funds. You need to be able to show exactly how this funding would improve the units efficiency, training and or readiness. It is a royal pain, but if it works it's worth it. You S3/G3 could help with the outline of what you need.

Depends on level of interest within the unit and support at the various command levels; sometimes location. GAFPB should have some level of German military support.
When I got my EFMB, we had off-duty classes to prepare for the test with graders and equipment from various units. Study material was also provided with minimal expense.

I’ll be honest, this is why I’m glad I left my MSU in the reserves. Cause every since I went active 2 a year my Command shoves EFMB down our throats, they make everyone go...no thinking about funding, budgeting, or any of that Jazz....GO ACTIVE!
