Does anyone have advice or experience with dealing with paternity issues and child support? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-anyone-have-advice-or-experience-with-dealing-with-paternity-issues-and-child-support

I am currently NG reserve and have a child due next month. Up until last month the "baby mama" and I were living together, happily in love and building our future together. Partially due to hormones and my inability to get full time steady work we split up and I moved home to my home state of PA. She still lives in VA.

Unlike most 23 year old fathers to be I want to be in my childs life because I know what it is like to grow up with out a father. I am looking into getting a lawyer to assist me in all the legal procedings, but does anyone have any other insight or advice as to something else I can/ should be doing?

Also there will be a paternity test as I do not completely trust her word that I am the only person she was with in the past 8-9 months.
