That's a pretty open-ended question.

Go to Google and put in "mortar training brief .ppt" (drop the quotes of course and experiment with other terms)

SGT Private RallyPoint Member, I really dislike this type of question. It propagates bad information in the long run. I will explain:

First line leaders (SGTs/ Team Leaders) are the primary instructor for the Soldier assigned to them in Warrior Training Tasks and MOS Skill level 1 tasks and battle drills. Prior to their assignment as a Team Leader, they were a specialist in their MOS. A subject matter expert. Presumably, they went to Basic Leader Course where they learned how to teach everything they mastered.

By utilizing "canned" training, they forget one of the basic principles of training, start at the doctrine and work your way to delivery. Sure, it takes a little bit more time, but you continue to develop your understanding of the tasks and you are 100% guaranteed to get it right. Using a passed-around PP for classroom instruction prevents you from developing your own class and prevents your practical exercises from meshing with the classroom instruction and matching up and linking with a host of other tasks.

I created so many blocks of training from Team Leader to Squad Leader for individual and collective tasks that it became second nature to start at doctrine and work from there. Using someone else's PP is a corner that shouldn't be cut and creates a culture of information inbreeding.
