Does anyone have any tips or information on what the 31K kennel master interview is like?

I have a interview with my kennel master here on FT. Campbell on Wednesday. I'm currently a 68W, looking to convert over to 31k. Any tips or information on what the interview is like?

Yes, just this:
There is no requirement for an interview from the kennel Master.

MOS 31K requires a background check from the Provost Marshall, E7 or higher.

Have a back up plan, there are no class seats for 31K and there almost never are. When I mean almost never, I mean I've gotten one class seat for a Soldier in 8 years. Have a backup plan

Why would you have an interview with your kennelmaster? It is not required for you to be even considered for 31k. Literally what you need is a 92 on Skill Tech on Asvab, pass a background check to hold a Secret clearance and be a US citizen.

This is just what retention informed me I'd be doing on Wednesday. As for the back up plan; I informed retention it was this, or I'm cutting loose.

I understand the other requirements and already prequalify with flying colors. Thanks for the comments though!

Additionally, and not to question the information provided, but I don't understand how there are no class seats available for 8 years. I had seven 31k in my basic alone and was offered a slot when initially passing my ASVAB. More then likely just a right time right place situation, but I figured it wasn't a terribly rare MOS....
