Luckily for me I have to reclass and a few of my “Dream MOS” options are available, 11X or 13F. I am currently weighing my options between these two MOS’.<br /><br />I spent my whole 8 years undeployed, in HHD, never getting to attend schools and training because we didn’t have slots, funding, etc. I was supposed to be cycled out to the line companies and my SSG pushed for it but my Captain said he couldn’t afford to lose me. It’s a shitty way of saying ‘I know that’s what he wants but it’s not happening.’ Mileage may vary but I would love nothing more than to be in the Army for one last enlistment so I want a job that keeps me in the field. <br /><br />The following questions are questions that I have asked my recruiter but he was unable to answer 100% as he “is not an infantryman” or “honestly doesn’t know”.<br /><br />Does anyone know what 11X school is like for an MOS-T? Do I start at week 1? Am I allowed gym time after training hours? Are they still implementing this new extended Infantry training? <br /><br />I prefer to be 11C, is there anyway to influence that preference upon arriving at Benning? <br /><br />Lastly, I know the 75th came through looking for volunteers while I was in my initial MOS school. I was told by an older Ranger this is not always the case in Infantry school. Ranger Regiment is always hurting on support MOSs more than 11B. The Army determines which Infantry MOS you get based on needs, you can&#39;t really influence that, 11X means undefined.
