PFC Private RallyPoint Member 3791026 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My wife is comming into the Army from the Navy in October. She has soft orders to Ft Lewis and I have soft orders to Hunter AA. I am currently trying to figure out if I should try and get my orders changed to Ft Lewis so we can be together. Because there are no spots open for her MOS (68E) at Hunter. Does anyone have experience with the command in charge of the 15T guys? JBLM or Hunter Army Air field? Which is better? 2018-07-13T17:17:23-04:00 PFC Private RallyPoint Member 3791026 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My wife is comming into the Army from the Navy in October. Have they looked there? If you want to be with your wife you have no choice but to go to JBLM. Hunter is a sweet assignment- or it was. Loved JBLM. Been stationed there twice. Lots of outdoor stuff to do. Close to Seattle if the city is more your thing. If you like humidity and the south then HAA is all for you. I am a firm believer in West Coast is the Best coast. I loved JBLM. Mt. Rainer, and countless open spaces if you like the country, Tacoma, and Seattle are also right there if you like Museums, lots of music, farmers markets, some sort of event every weekend and city attractions, also hiking through mountains, just google Mt.Rainer in summer. Yes JBLM is covered in grey clouds for most of the year and the rain is a steady drizzle. Get some rain gear and move on. There is so much to do and see, as long as you aren’t one of those people that stays inside and waits for the rain to pass. Stewart : when it rains it pours, and crazy lightning strikes! Then moments later the clouds part and it’s 90 degrees again and your sweaty and sticky. Everything is trying to kill you, from the poisonous snakes and insects, to the infestation of wild boar, and random crocodiles, or were they alligators. Doesn’t matter, nature hates you here. Savanah is small! I hated driving what felt like hours from Ft. Stewart just to get to Savanah and see a tiny little town that still holds a grudge over the civil war; although as I was told several times, it was ‘the war of northern aggression’ and even though I was from California I was told I was a yankee, whatever. But if you like sweltering sun, open racism, shooting critters, Muddin’, denying science,And drinking beer until you get into fights, the Ft. Stewart might be the place for you. Does it still exist? The concept was to try (within military requirements) to assign both members so they could maintain a common domicile. Certainly not possible if you&#39;re assigned to opposite coasts. If no 68E slots at HAAF, what about Fort Stewart? I’ve never been to JBLM, but I’ve heard very good things about it. I loved Hunter and Savannah. There’s several batallions you could go to as a 15T, and I honestly think the gsab was the best, preferably a flight company. As for your wife, like everyone else is saying, it’s not uncommon for a dual service couple to have one stationed on Hunter and the other at Stewart. And there’s plenty of nice towns between the 2 to make the drive less bad. The only bad thing I’d have to say about Hunter is that you will get spoiled. Most of the brass doesn’t wanna drive an hour to Hunter, and most people from Hunter don’t wanna drive an hour to Stewart, so things like division runs are kinda rare. If I had a choice to go back to Hunter, I’d go back in a heartbeat.
