Does anyone have experience writing a Certificate/Statement of Non-Availability?

Has anyone had any experience writing a Certificate/ Statement of Non-Availibility for the barracks? Is it a simple memo or is there an outline to follow. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Your housing office may be able to provide an example, it may be difficult as a single soldier and an E5 depending on your duty station.

I have wrote one once and it was denied. If you contact branch or a good S1 the will have an example memo. Usually you will have to submit supporting documents. I wish I still had mines I would email it to you. I know it's a pain in the butt, hopefully you will get yours approved.

When I had to go through with this issue, I had to go down to the housing main office. They supplied me with it.

Check S1net (google it). They have examples of almost everything. If you ndont have an account on milsuite then I highly encourage you to get one. Good luck!

It's a simple memo made by the barracks administration. You cannot type one for yourself.

Army Regulation "How to Prepare Army Correspondence" Can't remember, however, I googled it once and was able to obtain it.

I don't know if this will help or not but when I was working in the barracks in the Navy we used to be asked to give the stamps of Non-Availability to people coming to the base TAD/TDY. They always had some statement on their orders very specifically stating the quality of the room and how they could only be 1 person to a room for some reason, which varied by command. But the problem is that if we had rooms then we were to accommodate them instead of sending them out on the town to stay in hotels and that usually caused some commotion because they didn't want to stay in the barracks in the first place. Good luck on what you need as far as the Army goes on this.

The CNA's on Bragg were generated by DPW and is a post-wide decision. The entire post had to have a super high occupancy rate before they would bless off on even one CNA.

It’s issued by the organization (Housing, UPH, Temp Lodging etc)telling you they don’t have anything for you. It boiler plate. They print it, sign it, and hand it to you.

Who is telling you to write one?
