I looked in 3 different versions of the Tm and all numbers match up with the clamp on the right. Anyone have the real number? It’s for a 2K (MEP531A/501A). You can get a clamp like that at Ace Hardware. Does your unit have a fastener contract? I&#39;d take that to the contract rep and say can you get me this? I agree the craptastic clamp that came is like what is supposed to be there and your predecessor got sick of chasing that clamp down inside a housing with needle nose pliers and put that one on. The worm drive type you have can crush at the gear point and be uneven in its tension. <br />I tell young techs all the time, just because something doesn&#39;t look the same, doesn&#39;t mean it won&#39;t work. The worm clamp was probably a quick fix based off what was on hand because some CDR was freaking out about NTC coming up and instead of doing things right they did it quick to get to NTC....instead of doing it right and showing the ARMY that things are not working properly.
