You can get a clamp like that at Ace Hardware. Does your unit have a fastener contract? I'd take that to the contract rep and say can you get me this? I agree the craptastic clamp that came is like what is supposed to be there and your predecessor got sick of chasing that clamp down inside a housing with needle nose pliers and put that one on.LTC Jason MackayFri, 05 Mar 2021 00:19:18 -05002021-03-05T00:19:18-05:00Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2021 10:02 AM

As an automotive tech in the civilian world, I would use the clamp you received.
The clamp you got will provide a evenly distributed constant tension around the circumference of the hose. The worm drive type you have can crush at the gear point and be uneven in its tension.
I tell young techs all the time, just because something doesn't look the same, doesn't mean it won't work.SGT Chris PadgettFri, 05 Mar 2021 11:15:28 -05002021-03-05T11:15:28-05:00Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 10 at 2021 4:36 PM

At least the screw on the worm clamp is pointing in an accessible direction. I agree with SFC Casey O'Mally The wrong on is on the 2K, and you received the correct one. The worm clamp was probably a quick fix based off what was on hand because some CDR was freaking out about NTC coming up and instead of doing things right they did it quick to get to NTC....instead of doing it right and showing the ARMY that things are not working properly.CW2 Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 10 Mar 2021 16:36:59 -05002021-03-10T16:36:59-05:00Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 7 at 2021 11:26 AM
