Does Anyone here have extra class VIII supplies or know where I can get free issue?

Need some help! I'm in Korea with a rotational unit, needing medical supplies.

Been in South Korea now for a few weeks, my challenge is class VIII supplies. From what I am hearing it takes months for orders to come in. Anyone here have extra supplies or know where I can get free issue? Need help getting situated until late our supply chain is set up.

It really depends on the unit that your with, when I was there all the medical units fell under 65th and 121 was the POC for CL VIII. If you call or better, go there, they usually will help you out... Otherwise I know that it does take a long time to get supplies, but if you do the paperwork correctly there should be minimal time depending on the item...

You should engage the 65th MED BDE, they have a MEDLOG Company that should be supporting you. I'm not sure who in your BN/BDE messed that up, but if you hope on facebook you can find a lot of info out about them. Also look on outlook GAL for 65th, perhaps you can get lucky and get someone's attention. What you should do is contact the BDE you're working under and their BMSO/C. CO should have something and it's easy to set up accounts with them to have the MEDLOG send you items direct through the ways they are dispersing. Was a Log Sync or rock drill not completed for logistics before yall hit the ground or did y'all not read up and look over conops and opords?

SFC Private RallyPoint Member, I don't know what installation you are located on. There should be an Air Force medical facility close by though. I'm sure if you make contact with them, they can help out until your supply chain catches up.

Well tug the line. If HHC isn't providing proper support go the a sister BN. If your still out of luck contact BGE. If you get no help there then keep contact sister BDE or installation there is always a method might not be the easiest but there is always away. Just remember a favor is always owed so if you get a hand when the time comes you need always return it. Do that and you will always be able to get your supplies... Also S4 shop can direct you on who might be able to help

Had I seen this earlier I'd have suggested you check your local (or all) CIF facilities. They sometimes hold extra crap from turned in IFAK's.

if there is something i am needing class VIII for my unit, i would go scrounging at the hospital and see what you might come up with. they are usually pretty easy to work with. my experience with the class VIII supply channels was not too good. you might get it or good chance you wouldnt. usually when you deploy you can get your hands on about anything. go to logistics meeting and put out what you need for the unit by NSN/nomenclature.

Go to Humphreys and see if the hospital can hook you up!
